Thunderbolts in Nuns Lane – Evelyn Roberts

Several people remember that lightning struck a house in Nuns Lane in the early 1950s. In the book: Sopwell a history and collection of memories (P.92), Vera Foster gives a vivid recollection. Here is another memory from Evelyn Roberts who lived in the lane. The house belonged to Mr and Mrs Titchiner who lived at the top of the lane. She says that she thought that the same house was struck twice but this is not true. There was another thunderbolt but it was in a another nearby house in Nuns Lane.
