Living in Berners Drive – Rob Edwards

IMG_4255Rob Edwards was born in 1950 at 12 Berners Drive, in one of the prefabs. Eventually, when the family grew they moved into a council house exactly opposite at number 55. Rob describes where the prefabs were and talks about his childhood growing up in that area: congregating around the Cycling Prohibited sign, building soapbox trolleys, playing on the railway line, playing cricket and getting into trouble, and watching Children’s Hour on the television with all the other children at one their neighbours.
