Cottonmill Lane – Bet Cutler

Bet CutlerBet Cutler was born in Cottonmill Crescent in 1923. She has many memories as a child of the Cottonmill Lane area including what it was like at the swimming baths, the two houses which were pulled down to build Old Oak, a house near the end of the lane which had a pear tree, the original shape of the lane, the footpaths and the stiles and Sopwell Mill farm. She describes the farmer, Mr Coker, who lived at the farm before the Blowers sisters arrived.
